I eat sweets twelve months a year, but warm, gooey, melty chocolates are not everyone’s jam come summer heat…which is why this summer we are opening up an ice cream trailer! However, it is not just any ice cream….it is homemade small-batch ice cream sandwiches, in between two handmade colourful macarons! Check out some photos of the ice cream and the macaron sandwiches below.

The yummy flavours include chocolate (of course!!! made with Valrhona Dutch-processed cocoa powder and Cacao Barry Mi-Amere dark chocolate, yum), vanilla, lychee, black sesame, and pistachio. No artificial ice cream flavour bases or colorants. Wonder why our pistachio ice cream is not bright green? That is because we only used real pistachios to flavour and colour it!

We purchased a lovely turquoise trailer from the folks at Mountain Squeeze Juicery in Squamish and I cannot wait to take it around the Greater Vancouver area starting middle of May. We are currently working on securing some big events such as the PNE Fair and Vancouver Folk Fest, and have already signed up for eight dates at the River District Farmers Market. I am also feverishly working on products for the jury at the Coquitlam Farmers Market.
